The most popular manufacturing jobs are for engineers, welders, machine operators, production managers, assemblers and welders.

Manufacturing jobs for engineers require a minimum education of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Graduate degrees are required for higher positions and higher salaries. The main task of a manufacturing engineer is to make developments in the systems used for the operations. The basis of getting hired for this position is the years of experience the applicant has. Educational attainment is not necessary since the skills can be acquired through training and experience in the field. The job requires forty hours a week just like any other job.

Assemblers do most of the manual labor for they are in charge of troubleshooting the machinery system. Hiring managers would look at the resume like we would at a cereal box that would help us decide which one to buy. As the product has to stand out, candidates should also possess the skills and traits hiring managers are looking for to answer their job postings. Therefore, it is important to assess your skills by using words that will grab the hiring manager’s attention because these words are your key that will make you unique for the position. Since skills are grouped in categories, it is wise to divide these skills into columns so that it is easier to manage and group them as past experience, transferable experience, and personality traits that make who you are which are good marketing tools to use when you are selling yourself.
