Manufacturing CNC Operator Jobs
A computer numerical control machine operator, or CNC operator, sets up a given machine in accordance with the manufacturer\'s operating instructions in order to accomplish the requisite work, which involves the cutting of tools and materials. In a CNC operator job, the incumbent also operates the machine itself while checking for defective materials and tools and replacing the tools as needed. A CNC operator has to perform frequent quality checks to ensure that the company\'s standards are maintained. Ensuring that appropriate safety equipment is worn and that appropriate lifting equipment is used is also among the duties of a CNC operator.
To qualify for the position of a CNC operator, one must have attained a good level of general education along with an especially strong background in mathematics. Completion of a recognized trade apprenticeship or relevant work experience will also be helpful to a candidate for a CNC operator job. Extensive post-apprenticeship experience will also be looked upon favorably.
