Manufacturing Maintenance Jobs
Maintenance personnel are required to perform all functions of plant maintenance. They are primarily responsible for the production equipment and preventive and predictive maintenance. Maintenance personnel maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related to the mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and the facilities of the production plant.
Therefore, maintenance personnel must be proficient in electromechanical science, pneumatics, and hydraulics. They must have the ability to interpret schematics and drawings and a working knowledge of PLC controllers and process instrumentation. Needless to say, candidates desiring a maintenance job should have impeccable safety work habits. Further, strong problem solving skills, substantial interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written skills should form an important part of their skill set.
Flexibility and willingness to work various shifts as and when needed are desired for maintenance jobs. A willingness to attend training classes and show proficiency in the learned skills is a plus.
