Manufacturing Technician Jobs description
A manufacturing technician is responsible for handling technical matters pertaining to the organization\'s manufacturing units and equipments. A manufacturing technician is responsible for installation and maintenance of the facilities’ machineries; troubleshooting when the machines breakdown; providing training to workers and operators; advising the engineering personnel; offering advice to the management on technological changes; preparing documents and reports regarding the use of technology; attending meetings and meeting with customers who use technical products; participating in health and safety policies formulation; coordinating with quality control people; gathering feedback; incorporating changes; and promoting technological know-how in the organization. A manufacturing technician typically reports to a manufacturing supervisor.A technician should have a bachelor\'s degree in an engineering discipline combined with several years of experience. A master’s degree may be helpful. Strong expertise in a specific field of engineering is essential for a manufacturing technician role.
