Manufacturing Quality Jobs
There are two types of quality positions in a manufacturing setting: quality control and quality assurance. A quality professional in a manufacturing setting is responsible for ensuring that the production goes on in a manner that all established quality related guidelines and regulations are adhered to in a manufacturing setting. Specific duties of a quality professional include sampling the units manufactured in the unit; analyzing these samples for defects; keeping a close watch on the manufacturing process and looking out for improvement; making quality reports for workers; analyzing and submitting quality reports to the manufacturing supervisor; suggesting technological up-gradation or technological change with reference to quality issues; promoting flaw-less manufacturing all over the organization and so on. A quality professional typically reports to the manufacturing supervisor.
A quality professional may have a bachelor of science degree in a relevant area. Excellent academic credentials are essential.
