Manufacturing Production Manager Jobs description
A production manager is responsible for overseeing all the manufacturing activities taking place at a production plant. Specific duties of a production manager include ensuring that the plant meets certain production goals; ensuring that the plant meets profitability goals; handling all the administrative issues relating to plant; overseeing the performance of all the workers, technicians, and quality controllers; ensuring that the production meets certain quality goals; acting as interface between the middle management and the operations people; providing training opportunities to the production staff; and performing several other tasks. A production manager or production supervisor typically reports to the manufacturing director.A production manager should have a bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering or a relevant area in engineering. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Several years of experience working at a production plant is essential.
