It all started with a locksmith's workshop in Heidenheim, a small town on the Swabian Jura in Southern Germany. In 1825, the locksmith Johann Matthäus Voith takes over his father's business. In doing so, he lays the foundation stone for the success history of a very special company that still bears his name: Voith. A lot has happened since.
