ProteinSimple is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop, validate and troubleshoot consumable production processes. This position will report in to the Consumables Manufacturing Process Engineering Group. It’s a dynamic and innovative environment for individuals to have significant impact on defining and optimizing manufacturing processes for rapidly growing life science technologies.
This position involves the following responsibilities:
Research, propose, test and validate complex engineering solutions and process modifications aimed at yield improvement, manufacturing robustness and cost reduction
Ownership of process transfers from engineering development to implementation in manufacturing for parts and fixturing tools (including but not limited to): validation, repeatability/reliability, FMEA, documentation, ECO control
Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of consumable components & subsystems
Drive requirements for automation and fixture needs to address scalability challenges in manufacturing
Define and maintain metrics, process control, and perform data analysis for consumable fabrication processes
2 years related work experience in manufacturing engineering.
Mechanical engineering and design for manufacturing experience.
Validation design and execution experience.
Prior experience in bioscience, process transfer between manufacturing sites, cleanroom practice, automation, and fluid and gas delivery systems.
