Day to Day:
Chromalloy BELAC has an opportunity for a Cost Accountant that will provide detailed cost information and data analysis. The Cost Accountant will assist with preparation and reconciliation of physical inventory, maintain the item master, work with Operations and Engineering to develop, and maintain cost by product, customer, etc., prepare journal entries, account analysis, and monitor inventory and cost transactions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are as follows:
Develop and Maintain a STD Cost System including:
Bill of Material
Operating Hours Work with Operations to implement Visual Tools:
Inventory Tracking Capital Investment Analysis:
Payback • NPV • IRR
Prepare journal entries including but not limited to:
• Inventory obsolescence
• RM Cost updates
• COG JR and related reporting
• Inventory reconciliation and associated JE’s
• Balance sheet account analysis
Ensure AP, Purchasing, and Inventory sub ledgers are balanced and closed Assists with:
• SOX, internal, and external audits
• Quarterly sales and uses tax reporting and annual personal property tax reporting
• Weekly Financial reporting and cost controls for the Site Leader
• Special projects & ad hoc reporting, as needed

What you need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
• Minimum 5-7 years’ accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
