Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Sr. Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for maintaining, extracting and analyzing data in support of supply chain initiatives such as cost reduction, sourcing plans, inventory reduction and strategic planning. This position also has responsibility for supporting, training and further development of SCM systems such as MRP, Buyer Supplier Portal, and Supplier Scorecard.
Monitors, supports and trains for the Supply Chain Management systems.
Performs data manipulation and system development to support Purchasing, Materials Management and Strategic Sourcing.
Interprets data and provide recommendations and /or defines trends that result in cost reductions, improved efficiency or quality improvement
Analyzes current operational procedures and practices, identify problems and provide technical assistance to meet user requirements.
Administer and maintain Supply Chain Management systems including process methodology and set up.
Develops and administers the Key Performance Indicator data.
Trains new additions to the Supply Chain staff on procedures and practices.
Maintains key data and code selection supporting planning system accuracy
Performs Buyer responsibility as workload demands
Participate/Lead in ad-hoc projects as needed.
Manage multiple projects from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing.
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
Experience with MRP / ERP systems, Microsoft office, internet applications. Strong experience in Excel.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Comfortable customer facing, good interpersonal skills.
Adaptable and able to prioritize and organize own workload.
Teamwork and working across multiple sites.
Experience in project management.
25% travel required.
At least 5 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment as a commodity or project Buyer.
