IN A NUTSHELLAre you a creative, results driven leader who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the product life cycle?  The Sr. Product Manager, Caldera Spas® oversees the full life cycle of all Caldera Spas® hot tub products from ideation to launch in support of the company’s product strategies and initiatives.  The Caldera difference is all about combining comfort, design and performance into the best hot tubs around.  This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Management and collaborates in close partnerships with the Product Management team, Brand Managers, Marketing Creative, Marketing Communications and Sales teams as well as with several departments including the cross-functional New Product Introduction team. \r
IS THIS YOU?Can you strategize? You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing market trends and data to develop new products or product enhancements while providing input in the development of overall strategy for assigned products. You’ll also monitor and analyze market trends and competition, providing analyses to senior management, the Sales team and channel partners.Do you see the big picture? You’ll initiate and drive new product ideation, develop business plans for new and existing products and evaluate the potential of new products, following up on their progress during various stages of development. You will also evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of existing products, their sales and margin performance and recommendations for additions, enhancements, phase-outs, etc.Are you quality minded? You will manage product specifications, features and benefits for all Caldera Spas® products within our dealer network worldwide.  You will also check on product production to ensure products meet quality goals.Can you forecast? You will collect insights, analyze data and succinctly articulate the “story” behind the forecast numbers, making recommendations regarding the go-forward plan. You will create, monitor and update demand forecasts for assigned products, work closely with Production Control and Purchasing to manage end of life product cycle and to ensure inventory of products is available to meet customer demand. You will track performance and maintain reports to maximize opportunities, actively participating in the forecasting process and associated financials, including making pricing recommendations.Are you a strong communicator? You will ensure the creation of effective marketing communications and training for assigned products, write product announcements, prepare and present information on assigned products to senior management and the Sales team at company meetings, channel partner conferences/meetings, seminars, webinars, etc.Are you a team player? You will take a leadership role in weekly meetings as a member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and frequently interact with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Configuration Control, Quality, Finance, Sales and Supply Chain departments, as well as, vendors to evaluate new product concepts, existing product enhancements and cost savings.  This will also entail the training of internal and external customers (including the field sales force.)Are you organized and detail oriented? You will authorize change orders for assigned products, manage part numbers and related information in the ERP system.  You’ll also evaluate product margins, make pricing recommendations and maintain price lists in accordance with compliance requirements.Are you report savvy? You will develop sales and marketing reports that support business activity on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.  You will also develop key performance metrics for assigned products and regularly report them to senior management.WHAT YOU NEEDBachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Marketing or related field.  A minimum of 5-7 years Product Management experience and training is required.  The equivalent combination of education and experience similar in scope to the responsibilities outlined above will be considered.Experience should include understanding of consumer products, dealer-direct marketing, brand and product positioning, advertising (creative and media spending), point-of-sale merchandising, product management, business, use of current technology (Internet, Email and electronic presentations). Product Management and Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment; high-ticket durable goods or pool and spa industry experience preferred.High proficiency level in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel and Access are required.Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Navision) and forecast software and/or models required.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.Strong ability to work in a team environment. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 5% to include our Tijuana, MX facilities, channel partner visits, channel partner training at conferences/meetings, trade shows, company meetings, etc.\r
