Role Summary:

The CWI Materials Manger and Production Planner manages the demand signal for a third party suppliers that support multiple replenishment locations within CWI including SC operated assembly facilities, manufacturing plants and field service facilities. The CWI Materials Manager will share demand forecasts with key suppliers to coordinate the timing and CWI orders to consume reserved capacity, maximize batch size, cull orders for to match supplier capability, work with supplier to align supplier capacity with CWI demand.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Host monthly S&OP meeting between supplier and CWI capacity management team

· Receive and review orders from CWI locations against supplier, align orders to forecast

· Receive and review orders from CWI location against supplier to match against suppliers capability, lead times etc

· Work with supplier and CWI to solve capacity and demand misalignments

· Agree to monthly capacity plans with supplier and release orders against supplier in accordance with plan

· Work with supplier and CWI to solve order management

Qualifications/Requirements:

· BS/BA in accounting, management, industrial engineering or similar

· Experience in production planning, order management, demand planning or similar

· Experience using ERP package, preferably SAP including MRP, inventory control and netting, VSF forecast control, order management, quality

· Five years’ experience in production planning, inventory management, order management or similar

· Available for occasional travel within North America – once to twice per quarter

Desired Characteristics:

· Strong communication ability, write clear written communications focused on brevity, eliminating nonessential details

· Familiarity with common data analysis tools such including spreadsheet, simple relational database usage, ERP data extraction methods

· Comfortable leading meeting, set agenda, keep audience focused on task, manage differing points of view, manage strong personalities

· Familiarity with basic process improvement tools and concepts, including value stream mapping, work flow mapping, SIPOC
