Your mission at Tastepoint will be to lead, coach and develop the Purchasing Team. We are looking for a Purchasing Manager with Manufacturing experience to join our talented team of dedicated buyers, coordinating with both internal and external customers for the Taste segment North America.

The role of the team is to create and maintain sustainable relationships with our vendors. This is a very interesting and diverse role in one of our fastest-growing locations. This is a challenging role requiring a hands-on, pro-active self-starter that learns quickly and gets things done while guiding this team to success.

Required Skills

About You:

Your mission at Tastepoint will be to lead, coach and develop the Purchasing Team. To be successful in this challenging role you must have a bachelor's degree along with 7-10 years of relevant purchasing experience including 3-5 as manager or a similar position, in a multinational company. Professionalism, self-development and being a good team player are key values. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must have good collaboration and negotiation skills, are a quick learner and be able to work with people from all backgrounds and disciplines. You will supervise, coach and support the team that has to ensure consistent stock of raw materials and continuous sourcing efforts for price and quality. Excellent knowledge of and coordination with operations, planning and quality teams will be a requirement. You will work very closely with the our creative team to provide excellent response for their needs.

Excellent negotiating, communication and presentation skills are crucial, with a high level of professional behavior both internally and externally. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people from all backgrounds and disciplines to achieve desired objectives is a highly-desired competency. Your ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively will be critical to your success

Computer skills including MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) are required along ERP database experience.

Required Experience

How you will spend your time:

Ensure raw materials are available to meet production plans and execute sourcing strategies

Work closely with planning and manufacturing to address potential supply shortages and with internal stakeholders to meet requirements

Manage sourcing for the assigned plants

Build strong relationships with vendors and customers

Follow up on escalation of critical needs

Liaise closely with other departments to resolve issues and potential bottlenecks

Maintain data maintenance and integrity

Budget and forecast cost of raw materials

Trouble shooting and reporting as needed
