What you will do
As a part of our product finishing and shipping department; in this role you will be responsible for filling customer orders and putting the finishing touches on our batteries before they are shipped to our customers.
This is a 3rd shift position. Shift times are 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Occasional over-time is required. You may be asked to come in early or stay late depending on production demands or staffing shortages.
How you will do it
Unload groups of battery plates from a table by hand (weighing less than 10 lbs.) continuously. Once the plates are taken from the table, conduct an inspection of plate alignment, broken separators, and any excess lead found on lead straps. Block and load groups of battery plates into the plastic shell for the battery. This position is critical in driving the production of this process. Speed and accuracy are esstial in meeting production demands.Customer satisfaction is our #1 goal assuring the batteries meet quality expectations.
Our Associates are compensated with an hourly wage of $17.04, plus shift differential (.36/hour) and incentive based on productivity performance. With the incentive reward the average employee earns $23.86/hour including the shift differential and production performance incentive.
