What you will do
What is the goal for this
Reporting to the Manager of
Supply Planning, you will develop plans to optimize product flows and inventory
levels to meet customer service and working capital objectives. Develop and
direct improvements in planning processes and inventory management. Make
recommendations to the Production & Inventory Planning Manager on
improvements to create an optimized supply network.
How you will do it
Create implementation action plans for improvements in
production planning techniques.Analyze and direct the movement of inventories to maintain
customer service levels and manage at risk inventories.Collaborate with Demand Planning and commercial sales
managers to improve forecast accuracy.Interface directly with customers, plants, account
management, engineering, portfolio, etc as assigned to support initiatives
and to guide collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment.Assist in development and maintenance of Best Practices for production
planning and inventory management.Assist and make recommendations to Manager Supply Planning,
Network Strategies Manager, and Master Planner in making network
adjustments based on changing customer requirements.Develop and implement action plans for customer changes, new
customer launches, and product changes, etc. that optimize service levels
within working capital objectives and minimize obsolete/stranded inventory.Assist Manager Supply Planning in the development of
contingency plans where required.Performs
special studies, analyses and reporting at request of plant or division
management.Performs other duties as required.

Degree required. Major in Business, Supply Chain preferred.Minimum
of one year of relevant production and inventory control experience in a
manufacturing environment preferred.Proficient
in Microsoft Office suite required.High
proficiency in Excel required.SAP
experience preferred.APICS certification is a plus.
