Supervisor position in the Microelectronics Center leading approximately 17 union represented workers in assembly, solder, plating, wafer fabrication and test. Responsibilities include; prioritization of hardware through assembly processes, hardware status reporting to center and program leadership, management of Quality, Schedule and Cost goals for multiple programs, support development and implementation of process improvements, energize team members and hold operators accountable for performance.
Must have good conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful working relationships.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, flexible environment, including overtime periods, as needed.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering field. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Prior leadership experience. Demonstrated focus on positive customer relations. Excellent Communication Skills. Understanding and ability to utilize and apply Lean/6 Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement Experienced user of Microsoft Office Software. Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DOD Security clearance.
Prior leadership experience in a commodity manufacturing environment Familiarity with and commitment to the Performance Management Team (PMT) process Experience working, preferably leading, in a union environment Experience with Electronics fabrication (circuit card, Wafer fabrication, microelectronics) Knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535
