Scheduled hours for this opening will be 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday 2:45 pm to 1:30 am. Over time may be required when needed to include weekends.
How will you make an impact?
The Machine Operator will work closely with client services in order to plan, schedule and maintain facility and maintenance activity which impact daily production and ensure proper planning of all scheduled activity.
What will you do?
Adhere to all health and safety requirements (use of personal protection equipment).
Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
Ability to navigate through and work within the CMMS system (Maximo).
Serve as CMMS (Maximo) contact for the Engineering Maintenance Group.
Attend / host meetings with onsite maintenance for proper planning of all scheduled activity.
Work with client services in order to plan, schedule and maintain facility and maintenance activity which may impact daily production.
Assist with spare parts inventory management.
Ability to train additional staff on the CMMS (Maximo) functions and best practices.
Manage work orders within the system. Ensure proper creation, planning and completion of select work orders.
Ensure proper documentation and placement of holds.
Maintain equipment log books, downtime records and associated documents.
Reviews order requirements and follows supervisor instructions to understand and perform the necessary procedures required for processing each production run.
Setup and operate manual and automated production equipment used for various pharmaceutical products.
Observe machinery to detect malfunctions, perform adjustments and ensure the safe and effective operation in accordance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and customer specified instructions.
Inspect tooling and equipment components to ensure all requirements or met and upheld prior to use.
Perform assembly and disassembly of equipment when required for startup, clearance and cleaning.
Performs cleaning of production areas in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Principles
Assist production operations during downtime if applicable per supervision instruction
Accurately counts out and prepare packaging supplies to ensure proper accountabilities prior to and at the completion of a job order.
Assist Quality Assurance personnel, Production Supervisors and Line Leaders in staging of components as required.
Participate on cross-functional project teams.
How will you get here?
High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated GMP experience.
Ability to label and assemble supplies in conjunction with other FCS personnel ensuring proper label placement and proper documentation of labeling activities as required.
Mechanically inclined with a strong mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Must be able to work in a cold chain environment (exposed to cold temperatures at times throughout the day)
