Sr. Plant PlannerResponsibilities:In addition to completing the plant planning role, as defined below, the lead is responsible for the following:• First escalation point for plant planners when inventory issues arise• Lead inventory error investigation and identify root causes, update shortage database accordingly• Back up for planning supervisor• Onboarding new plant planners• Work with warehouse 47 and 48 to resolve any inventory discrepancies and key on the system. Key RPs, SS, VR\/DEBIT, E&O, etc. for offsite warehouses• Audit RP02 location and resolve any items not assigned and follow up on aged issues• Run WIP not used and ensure execution within the group.• Assign new parts\/vendors to plant planning team• Audit misc. locations such as ENG01, ST01, RMO, NT02, VVNT, etc.• Represent materials for pilot build meetings and run reports for each pilot - Check production schedule weekly for pilot being built on the line. Run the shortage query; get answers on any items that are short. Plant Planning Role Responsibilities:• Perform cycle counts for inventory accuracy use data systems to analyze root-causes in order to reconcile results• Ensure stop-gap actions are in place to prevent reoccurrence and document discrepancies• Communicates delays, shortages, problems, issues relating to shipments and\/or inventory levels of purchased items to Production, Purchasing, and Logistics. Assists in devising and carrying out plans to resolve effectively and with minimum cost• Liaises with Central Planners, Schedulers, Warehouse and PDP Planners to locate parts, resolve issues and communicate with Production • Helps to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and suggest ways to improve or correct the issues.• Provide internal customer support • Maintain data to ensure materials systems execution.• Run daily shortage report and take needed action for resolution• Analyzing inventory for opportunity to improve turns and identify excess • Work with Quality Assurance and Central Planning on Vendor reject issues.• Other duties as assignedSKILLS & KNOWLEDGERequired:• 2-5 years previous planning\/inventory control experience• Knowledge of MRP\/ERP systems and Bill of Materials• Must have current PC\/software proficiency including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Outlook)• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong problem-solving skills• Ability to manage and be efficient with multiple tasks• Strong, quick decision making skills• Organized and strong attention to detail • Ability to synthesize large amount of data quickly and stay calm under pressurePreferred:• Two or four year college degree QID for the EEO Statement - 89594About this location Spirit Lake, Iowa, population of 4,907 people, is one of the most beautiful and dynamic cities in the Midwest.
