Machine Operator I
* FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Department: Operations Reports To: Assembly Group Lead
Machine Operator I sets-up, operates, and maintains machinery, in a manufacturing setting. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.
Operationof lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and crimper
Operation of CNC machines
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
Check output to ensure highest quality
Maintain equipment in good condition
Report on issues,malfunction,or defective parts
Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols,regulations,and procedures
All other duties as assigned
Some experience asa Machine Operatorpreferred
Technical knowledge, attention to detail,have extreme focus and accuracy
Ability tofollow standard operatingprocedures
Ability in using tools and machinery
Good understanding of quality control principles
Good communication skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
Ability to work in a Non-A/C environment
Education and Experience:
At least one-year related experiencepreferredas anmachine operator, machinistor similar role in a manufacturingsetting
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
While performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects,tools,or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Non-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be required
A background check and drug test are required for this position.
