We are currently seeking a Materials Planner to join our Huntsville Engine Plant. The Material Planner schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, suppliers, carriers, production and engineering. Maintains inventory accuracy and completes cycle count reviews. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

OR

At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills:

Manufacturing/Production experience in the area materials/supply or inventory management

Strong communication and follow-up skills

MRP experience highly desired

MS Office experience
