Description: This is an entry level position for a Associate Manufacturing Engineer working in the ADP Metallic Fab Shop and part of the Manufacturing Engineering group. Manufacturing Engineering (ME) responsibilities include tasks from the design phase to the manufacturing/test phase.
During the design phase the candidate’s responsibilities will include generating work instructions and ordering tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations. ME will work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets.
During the manufacturing/test phase the candidate will provide technical support to Operations during metallic fabrication and assembly and respond to production operations personnel inquiries. ME also participates in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality using 6 sigma tools.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) skills. Ability to work in team environment. Prior US military experience and the ability to pass a background screening.
