Position Summary:
Overees the production operations of the designated area. Provides leadership and supervision to all hourly personnel in the designated area. Responsible and accountable for the safety, production, people (which includes coaching, counselling, discipline and attendance), quality, cost and delivery, KPI's and as well as adhereing to the standardized supervisor routines for the area
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily direction, coordination and evaluation of designated area. Leads & trains team members in regards to the organizations HSE policy and procedures. Responsible for understanding and promoting organization’s procedural requirements.
Follows the work priorities provided by the Area Manager and provides those priorities to quality control personnel assigned to the work cell station(s)
Responsible and accountable for daily financial production metrics and KPI's that align to plant productivity target
Actively looks for internal opportunities to identify and promote talent. Ensures that KPIs are communicated, understood and holds individuals accountable.Identifiesinternal operator talent. Has the ability to idendtify and deliver operator training.
Drives One Exterran approach with uncompromising integrity and overall responsibility for ensuring the work environment is adhering to the Code of Conduct, Exterran values and behaviors.approach. Acts as role model/influencer for other leads and employees. Responsible and accountable for performance of self and others assigned.
Manage and accurately report plant operating standards for the work area. Ensures employees understand, apply and are accountable for plant standards and metrics
Understands the importance and value of standardized work and reporting metrics.
Leads and conducts Safety Huddles, Safety Meetings and Debriefs with team.
Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles
Required Skills or Tools:
Should have Valid Drivers License
Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English
Preferred Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; and five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Vocational or technical education a plus
5-8 years experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have knowledge of different types and sizes of structural materials
Computer literacy skills
Physical Strain:
Standard requirements.bending, squatting, climbing, twisting and reaching will all be used occasionally in this position
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
