POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly. Responsible for making precision cuts to carcass and separate meat from bone to achieve desired carcass yield. Responsible for inspecting carcass and making precision cut to remove quality defects. Responsible for operating a powered tool to perform job task.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up equipment in preparation for startup.

Average training time may require 2-3 months.

Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor.

Must perform minor maintenance on equipment.

Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.

Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.

Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.

Must be willing and able to work cycles in less than 20 seconds.

Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment.

Internal: Must not have more than 5 attendance occurrences. Must not have a disciplinary suspension on file in the past 6 months. Must be in your current position for a minimum of six (6) months unless this job is a higher class than you currently hold.

External: Must have at least 3 months previous manufacturing work experience with a single employer within the last 12 months.
