Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an

opening for a CNC Programmer in Houston, TX at our Navigation facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

Writing,testing and maintaining CNC programs for a wide variety of machining centers

Supportfor testing, first article and completion of manufacturing data package for CNCMachining Processes.

Provisionof detailed set-up and tooling sheets

Providingsupport to the manufacturing group in relation to amendments and updates on programs

Ensuringthat best practices are followed to maintain high levels of quality

Assistwith identifying, planning and coordinating specialized tooling or gaugesnecessary for component manufacture.

Assistwith investigating and resolving shop floor problems

Assistthe methods and planning departments as required

Responsiblefor ensuring that all activities are conducted in line with all HSErequirements and procedures.

Continuousprocess improvement & special projects as assigned.

Abilityto coach and mentor other team members when required

AnyOther Duties as Required

Profile Milling, Lathe, Mill turnand Mill programming.

Verification of toolpathinterference with work parts

Participation in improvementprojects, Root Cause Analysis and responsible for corrective actions.

Handles special projects, asassigned. Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 3 years’ of experience with CNC programming

Ability to read and understand G-Code

Works well within a team environment

Experience running CNC lathe and mill equipment

Experience with manufacturing documentation such astool list, routers and BOM.

2D and 3D CAD / CAM experience (AutoCAD, Esprit, NXUnigraphic, Vericut, Mazatrol and Solid works or comparable software)

2D and 3D model development for tooling, work holding,fixtures.

Competence with programming of tubulars with threads aswell as mill features.

Works well in a fast paced high pressure environment

Desired Characteristics:

Higher educational degree preferred

Siemens NX CAM / TeamCenter

Esprit CAM: Lathe, Mill and Millturn.

Mazatrol: Lathe.

Solid Work.

Building Post Processors and or Simulations.

Significant experience in setup and operation of CNCmachines.

Experience gained in a manufacturing environment working CNC machines

Experienceand knowledge of manufacturing processes using CNC Machine centers

Experiencedin problem solving in relation to manufacturing and machining processes

Experienceof using SAP in relation to manufacturing methodology

Experiencegained in relation to programming machines for the manufacture of tools, usinga variety of metals and processes

Experienceof working with 3D CAD/CAM packages

Understandingof manufacturing processes for a variety of materials, including nickel alloysand chrome

Knowledge in the operation of multi-axis mills,mill-turns and lathes

Knowledge of HSE policies and procedure relating tomachining
