We are looking for a Production Supervisor with a motivation to participate in the growth of a fast-paced company engaged in cutting edge biological research. The successful applicant will lead a small Consumables Manufacturing team to meet daily production targets for capillaries, cartridges and chips. Additionally, this hands-on leader will conduct equipment maintenance activities in order to support a smooth second shift operation.
Direct several production lines to ensure that daily production needs and company goals are met
Develop a working knowledge of the processes; participate in production and troubleshooting activities when needed
Work with Process and Equipment engineering and other cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, and minimize equipment downtime.
Promote the safe and efficient operation of processing equipment in order to achieve quality and conformity of products
Determine production priorities by working with schedulers, technicians and management team
Enable good documentation practices and support the Quality System
Coordinate inventory management tasks (physical and ERP/business systems)
Compile and present monthly metrics (yields, output). Working competency with Excel and other analytical software tools.
Display technical and personnel leadership skills; act as a role model, maintain morale and good communication
Excellent communication skills (proficient in English)
Responsible for Second Shift (2:00PM – 10:30PM M-F)
2 years of experience supervising a manufacturing team, preferably biotech devices
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, performing maintenance or assembly procedures and deeply familiar with workflow
Demonstrated training in leadership and supervisory skills
Working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or regulatory compliance requirements
