Manufacturing Manager - Capital Equipment

Small privately held manufacturer of specialty capital equipment is seeking a new MANUFACTURING MANAGER to join their team. Their previous Manager retired a few years ago. They thought they could function without a dedicated Manufacturing Manager due to their size (roughly 30 people total) and their well-established organization (Over 45 years in business), but they've since come to the conclusion that they need a Manufacturing Manager to provide tactical and strategic leadership of their manufacturing activities, drive continuous improvement, and optimization of all processes. A great opportunity to be part of a small manufacturer where everyone is like family. Will be able to wear many different hats within the company; playing a senior role within their entire business. Low volume production environment - big ticket item products, which includes both standardized and custom made machinery.REQUIREMENTS: Must have a strong Mechanical aptitude and proven technical expertise.A BSME would be a huge plus, but a BS degree is not required as long as the applicant has a proven mechanical engineering background.Must have at least 10 years of manufacturing experience working for a precision capital equipment manufacturer. Must have at least 5 years of management responsibility. Working knowledge of OSHA Regulations.Ability to coach and mentor employees on one on one basis as well as a group.Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures are required.Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.Computer literate, proficiency with MS Word and Excel is required. Experience working with an ERP system would be a plus.Able to handle high stress situations and work independently.Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources). Some P&L experience would be appreciated.Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S would be a plus.Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes,
