Airgas, an Air Liquide company is seeking a strong Distribution Plant Manager in Hanford, CA. As working leader the Plant Manager will develop Route plans, manage a CDL driver staff of 8 Class A Tanker Trucks to ensure product delivery. We are seeking a leader for the facility who will be involved from day one and own the operation functions. This will include overseeing construction, selecting and training your team, and instilling safety in EVERYTHING we do. What will I be doing? Reporting to the Regional Manager of Operations, Airgas Specialty Products division, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the Aqua and Anhydrous Ammonia plant in Hanford, CA and Stockton, CA. Specific details of the role include: • Number 1 – to be responsible for providing a safe and healthy workplace.• Directly supervise Plant Operators and Maintenance Manager in a 24/7 operation.• Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees. Once onboard, to provide regular feedback and coaching.• To prepare the annual budget for operating expenses and capital expenditures. • Track and control production costs throughout the year.• Responsible for compliance with FDA, EPA, DOT and other applicable regulatory agencies.• Will work with Western Region Distribution Manager to assign driver dispatch.• Responsible for managing and compliance of driver Hours of Service and DOT rules and regulation.• Responsible for effective use of all driver resources including minimizing the overtime, leveling the work load across all drivers, and cross training all drivers to handle all distribution equipment.• Oversee all truck and trailer maintenance and documentation including but not The Plant Manager is the highest ranking employee at the plant. The incumbent has to be able to work effectively without close supervision. What skills must I possess? • Experience building and managing to Route Plans.• Leadership experience/skills.• Knowledge of DOT policies, Hour of Service guideline, and Hazmat transportation regulations.• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawing and process P&IDs. What education and experience do I need? • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management is also desired.• Commensurate combination of experience and training will be considered. • The Plant Manager must be completely at ease using word processors, spreadsheets and communication by electronic means. Google G-Suite experience a plus.• SAP knowledge is a plus. Who is Airgas?
