Vice President Jobs description

A vice president in a manufacturing or production environment is responsible for providing both strategic and technological leadership to the entire organization. Specific duties of a vice president include making strategic decisions in the interest of the organization; ensuring that the plant or division meets certain productivity and profitability goals; keeping updated on the current technological advancements; allocating resources for the business unit; motivating and evaluating managers in the organization; handling administrative problems that may arise; being part of the senior management; participating in long term planning; and getting best possible resources for the organization. A vice president typically reports to the chief executive officer or president.
A vice president should have a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. A master’s degree may also be required. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering is essential. Strong ability to motivate and lead people is essential trait for this role.
