Manufacturing Assistant Jobs description
A manufacturing assistant is responsible for performing various administrative and production related tasks in a manufacturing setting. Primary duties of a manufacturing assistant include assisting the manufacturing supervisor and/or manufacturing engineer, preparing reports related to machine hours, leaves of shop floor personnel, machine downtimes, productivity reports, and assisting in materials management. A manufacturing assistant reports to a manufacturing supervisor or manufacturing engineer.A manufacturing assistant should have a high school diploma. Prior experience as a manufacturing assistant may be an advantage. Some organizations may refer to a similar position as manufacturing representative, manufacturing specialist, manufacturing coordinator, or manufacturing executive.
