Manufacturing Controller Jobs description
A manufacturing controller is responsible for preparing month-end closings, financial forecasts, and consolidations; providing financial advice to the manufacturing department through the study of financial data; meeting corporate reporting requirements of the division; managing, training, and evaluating accounting personnel; ensuring accuracy of physical inventory; and controlling the flow of raw materials, tools, and other assets in the manufacturing department. A manufacturing controller reports directly to the chief operating officer.A manufacturing controller should have an accounting degree or a CPA and familiarity with GAAP. Strong background in inventory accounting is usually expected.
