Manufacturing Operator Jobs description

A manufacturing operator position may be available with an engineering or manufacturing firm. A manufacturing operator is responsible for performing variety of mechanical tasks in a manufacturing plant. Specific duties of a manufacturing operator include working on lathe or similar machines, using heavy mobile equipments, performing maintenance on various equipments used in the plant, ensuring that the production is in line with established quality standards, attending training sessions, ensuring that various environmental health and safety regulations are adhered to the entire manufacturing process, coordinating with workers and raw materials department personnel, meeting production targets, and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. A manufacturing operator typically reports to a plant supervisor.
A manufacturing operator should have an associate\'s degree or a bachelor\'s degree. Strong knowledge of technical equipments and manufacturing processes may be helpful. Strong physical ability is essential.
